Beryl Beavis
About the Author:
Beryl’s parents grew up in Harborne and as a child she often visited the area to see her family. In 1970 Beryl moved to Harborne with her husband to raise her three children. Beryl gained a General Honours Degree in Mathematics and Physics at Westfield College London, and continued to do a PGCE at Birmingham University. Beryl taught Mathematics in Harborne schools before retiring. After retiring Beryl started to research local history which lead to the achievement of an MA in West Midlands History at Birmingham University.
